You can see it as the third tab when you enter your profile.

This means now users who follow you can see more easily your last actions such as uploads, upvotes, comments, follows, and obviously you can see similar sections on every users profile on the site and get a little more information on what the people you follow are doing and this might help you explore and find new interesting content.

And you can filter the content by the type of activity you interested in seeing.

How do I capture an image or gallery to add to my content within the app? I've been downloading to my device, then uploading the pictures to my content—I'm sure that's not the right way to do it.

You mean like "Repost/Save/Favorite" something to your profile so you will not lose it?

in what sense? just hit in the menu "upload" the big green button and upload your album?
