Not to be a Butt-in-ski....I checked out Today`s Trending and I got the same "advertising Gifs" that sotrokidra posted about (using Chrome browser here):

But....it looks like they are the "usual" ads that are elsewhere on the site....

Yes this is normal, the thing is you see them mixed with normal images and he sees "only" ads. that is his issue.
