New Layout Info for albums (Need your suggestions).

Hey guys, what do you think about this Pinterest style UI instead of what we have now?

I think it is way more fun to scroll like this from user experience point.

Images are not being cropped/cut, and you can see whole images on pages.

Is this just for the trending boards? Or are you thinking of applying this to the "My Images" section?

If it is just the trending then it doesn't bother me as I rarely go there but I wouldn't like to see that formatting applied to my albums.

Well the main idea would be to apply it allover (but it is still in testing now, not sure we will do it in such way), but just loaded it for both of those pages to see your input.

just wondering though, why do you think its less appealing, or what are the issue with this layout, what don't you like??

Well the ads and gifs would annoy the crap out of me bigtime but the main reason is the way I use Pimp.

I upload pics to my albums here then use their BB codes to upload them to other forum. So the current regimental style of same size pics in rows/colums is perfect. If I were to upload say 24 new pics to an album I can clearly see which ones are the latest content when I go back to the album and easily keep track of which ones I have used elsewhere. If they were to be displayed in the style as in your examples this would not be the case.

Sorry to be negative but that's my opinion.

If you were to adopt this new style would there also be an option to choose "classic mode" and stay with what we have now?

Right now this is just a testing mode, and registered members would not see any ads "inside" their albums & images (gifs) like it is now. we want to make the user experience better not worse i understand the importance of image sharing to forums and blogs and so on, and we will not change the codes output and nothing else, maybe "add" an option to share images Pinterest style, but of course right now its all a simple testing "feeler" mode.

The 'mechanics' of it looks cool....but with the content culling from categories such as "Teen Young", "Early Teen", "Family", as well as other niche categories I don't really peruse, I'd probably not use it much.
I'm probably not very trendy myself anyway though....
The skills are definitely impressive....

The categories are just "Trending categories" they are unrelated to trending images/albums.
