I'm guessing some here had childhood experiences with adults. Whatever the rights and wrongs, for some of us it did not seem bad at the time.

My younger sis and I had experience with our mom's brother over a number of years. After her relationship with my sister's dad broke down, she moved us to the big city and into the same apartment block as her brother. He had some sleepovers with us which, I learned later, were incestuous with his sister.

After a few weeks he initiated gentle sexual contact. We were never "raped" or hurt. In fact, we looked forward to contact. He encouraged my half sister and I to also be sexual with each other. This contact continued for six years for me, until I was 15 and began opting out. He fooled for another year with my sis, until she was 14.

Real life is complex and he made it no less so.
