For me, if the photo is a link, I click on the link.
If it is a thumbnail, I click on it.
If it's a picture, clicking on it--or the right click "open in another tab" option could work.
Videos...I haven't found any here.

Uploading is not easy, that's for sure. The
Image Uploader is hit-or-miss, at best, unfortunately....)
Might not be super-helpful, but it's what I do....
Gratuitous picture...(that took a
lot of time, multiple attempts/formats to upload)
