thumbs which are not 4:3 get cropped
Hi pimp!
Since the big update, the thumbnail pics get cropped if their format is not 4:3, this can be quite annoying... like this: http://pimpandhost.com/media2/image/...okinAces_0.jpg http://pimpandhost.com/media2/image/...SmokinAces.jpg Before the update, white borders where added. My old pics still work like this. I can only provide adult content as example, but this one should be ok, hihi. http://pimpandhost.com/media/image/1...295b46ea_0.jpg http://pimpandhost.com/media/image/1...cc295b46ea.jpg Is there any chance you could revive the old thumbnail layout? Thanks, and P&H still rocks! cya mechlon |
Clear. let me think how we can make it look better, this is a valid issue and i still didnt think of how to make it best.

Now it gets resized to fit the 4:3 format. Better than cropping, but it looks strange ;) Anyway, it's great to see you're working on it, keep it up, yay! |
We are done ;) Thumbs are now done properly!

Excellent job, pimp! Thank you!
Edit: Seems to work nice :) http://pimpandhost.com/media2/image/...okinAces_0.jpg Besides, at the album view, the thumb pic still gets resized to 4:3... but I guess this is pretty unimportant. I just wanted to mention it. Edit: Here's a test pic of the album view, I created two thumbnails of a the same movie with Media Player Classic. Left one has 8 colums, 2 rows @ 1024x178 and gets vertically streched Right one has 2 colums, 8 rows @ 1024x1810 and looks fine http://pimpandhost.com/media2/image/...5/c/b/c/SA.JPG |
This was done on purpose so we wont ruin the layout of the site, else it would look ugly as hell ;)
but on the forum when you embed the thumbs all is gonna look slick. |
