I've had several images removed recently for "Hate speech or abuse", how so? Especially as the same, or very similar, images are freely posted elsewhere.

I can not say why your post was removed? What kind of content was the post in question? There are many reasons why a post can be removed, They could have been reported, for something. If they was post they should always go by the full posting rules which are post on the page for posting. Some content that is posted others my see as Hate speech or abuse. I can't say, because I don't know what kind of content it was? Some post content that is posted shows a lot of abuse or other making hate speech about other in the post. It's a matter of what the content is some post just go to far with it.

Spanking gifs. Can't post links yet but nothing extreme.

Some may find this type of content as physical abuse, Physical abuse is defined as any intentional act causing injury or trauma to another person through bodily contact. And in gifs this would be like in real time. If you have this kind of content in a album I would put a pass word on the album so only your followers can see it. That way others can't get offended by something they don't want to see. What you see as not extreme others may.
