Pet Peeve: People copying my images and reposting as their own
 

Lately I've noticed people creating albums of my images and posting them in their own album instead of reposting my images or albums. I guess they do that to steal upvotes??? Is that a reportable offense or should I just let sleeping dogs lie and accept the fact that my work is popular enough LOL

Maybe The Pimp can render an opinion on the subject...?

Usually my problem is the overbearing requests to "Repost-expose my ugly girl". :D

That's totally different. I made them for you. Others have downloaded my images and created new albums of them and posted them as their own. So now those copies of my images are getting the upvotes and reposts and not my original images. Thankfully he didn't remove my little watermark.

LOL I know. I had to block one that keeps pestering me to make more after I asked him numerous times to stop. I think we both know who I'm tallking about. LOL

Ok this is weird. I received a DM from a user that requested that I create some fakes for him but not post them but send them to him so her could post them. I basically said that I no longer create private albums (especially if the person is going to post them anyway). After all, the fun in it for me is to get recognition, upvotes, reposts etc.

So I told him this and then pointed out that he had copied one of my albums and made his own album of my pics and was receiving upvotes and reposts etc. Even as we were messaging, he did it with another set of pics and created a new album under his account. I mentioned that to him too.

He got kind of defensive and said something to the effect 'Who do I think I am, DaVInci?" I was about to respond no, I just like getting upvotes but he deleted the message thread and I guess unfollowed me. He at least, deleted one of the albums he had created of my pics.

Anyway, I just wanted to document this while it is still fresh.

Yeah. You do good work AI_guy. You should get credit for it.

One of the best things you can do is put a password on your albums so only your followers can enjoy them, And when making you photos place the watermark in a place where they can not remove it. This is always been a problem. This is why they made the repost section. so others could repost them to there site but give the full credit to the owner. :-)
