Bell alerts go hyperactive

I have all 3 alerts unmuted in my profile settings.
With only one action in the bell alert, the thing keeps popping up and dinging over and over and over...only 1 activity in the alert. Now my windows notification center is backed up with over 20 of this alert repeating itself.

It pops up / advances the windows notification center more frequently when I am active on my keyboard. If I just sit and time it, it is every 45-60 seconds, not consistent. It makes me think you have planted a virus on me (I know you haven't, but that is the feeling...)

I am sitting right here and I am busy. I will get to it...but I like to now when a NEW something happens, which is why I thought I could leave the alert unmuted.

Let me know how else I can help you improve this. For now I will just mute all alerts.

Well pass it to devs and see the issue. did not happen before.

To be sure, you wrote "did not happen before"...and I am telling you that This has always been the performance of this system for me. I finally get enough attention on my posts that this is now more interference than help.

I can make a 1:00 minute screen cap live action to demonstrate this issue if it will help trouble shoot.

UPDATE in witnessed behavior:

With only the "bell notification muted" checked/ activated in the profile settings, the dinging noise still occurs annoying and repeatedly ( I suppose because "Browser Notifications" are not muted?)... but there is no numeral indicator at the bell alert graphic, top right - that is the only change made by muting bell notification...

If I check mark all of the notifications to be muted then whenever I LOOK to check my stats, there is no numeric indicator so I think I have no activity, but if I select "see all" in the notifications drop down I will see all of the unread notifications.

I have run antivirus/ antispyware and I am fairly confident I don't have an exploit underway on my end (which could gum up my browser)

I have noticed a change-
Um, looks like this got fixed, almost?...but was it on purpose, or do you have a ghost in the machine?

NEW SITUATION:
I turned all of my alerts back on yesterday, intending to just keep my browser closed and just reopen it now and again....

..but I am "happy" to report when I accidentally left the browser open for several hours, that the behavior I complained about has ceased! So I have tested ALL of the notification functionality, and it is all correct now except for one piece:

With all 3 of my alert choices in the P&H account settings "active", the alerts is working mostly as expected, as far as I can tell!

1. (CORRECT) The alert only "dings" and enters a notification into my windows notification center oncer per new occurrence.

2. (CORRECT) When I have more than one notification waiting at pimp and host, they are all added in Windows Notification Center correctly; the count inside the P&H notification advances, telling me in one notification the total waiting for me at P&H. (This is an improvement from each notification creating its own entry in Win. Notif. Center)

3. (CORRECT, mostly...) Yes, now when I click on the notice in the windows notification center I am taken to P&H page, but I am taken to an unlabeled upload page - the system should take me to P&H page of all notifications, like if I had clicked on the notification bell in P&H webpage and then choose "select all".

I hope this is the result of more fine work from your team...because if no one has directly addressed this, then that means you have a loose bug in your program that got fixed accidentally...and that is at best scary, at worst it is a server-side fail waiting to happen! LOL
