Stop Removing Guests Uploads - Please

I have been using PaH for many years, lately my old uploads started getting deleted!
This is simply a nightmare/hell for me because I build a website and used all my cover pictures uploaded on PaH! Now they remove it so all my effort for many years are just getting removed! Please stop this massive removal, I already lost a lot of images in my website, I have 577 pages blog website and after page number 30 almost all images are deleted! Imagine how big damage you made on me. I already PMed admin regarding this problem but if there is anyway to recover these files I would be glad! I really need help as soon as possible!

I rather thought that the point of requiring registration in order to host on this site is your only means of controlling upload content. I am surprised that you let unregistered guests upload anything at all. It is FREE to join after all...

PS< I love what you're doing here at PnH!

Just an update, we stopped already the removal of anon uploads like 1.5 weeks ago, we will see if we can get those we deleted back from backups, i did not know this causes such damage.

I'm not promising, but Monday after when devs are back we will see what can be done.

so hold tight, right now nothing new is being removed.

Curious about anonymous uploads

I know this is a broken record by now, but I am trying to understand your direction for this site. You banned my previous account which had nothing offensive in it and I did not violate your posted T&C...but you will allow anonymous uploads... and NOT delete them? I agree with the the previous commenter that it I would think a site trying to protect itself against illegal and socially unacceptable content would require registration for upload?

Again, just trying to understand what your intentions are for this site?

Thanks in advance for explaining this.

You misread, We always allowed anonymous uploads, and they have always been limited compared to registered users, anonymous uploads are always checked and wiped if they break the rules same as any account on the site.

But why? Why make all that work? Reviewing anonymous uploads? You have the base for a GREAT site here. Why would you allow anonymous uploads while you still haven't straightened out serving registered users? I mean I got my whole account and content deleted and have spent some time now with you trying to understand WHY I was deleted so I don't repeat it and you have had only guesses and suppositions...Like you don't know yourself how your REGISTERED users are managed.

I tried it and I see that anonymous users can upload a photo...but then it is "lost", they cannot delete it, they cannot name it....I guess you do it to drive registration?

Still seems out of order.
