New Pimpandhost is *almost* here!

The time for changes has come, we present to you Pimpandhost V2.0 SANDBOX*!

We have been working on this behind the curtains for long time, with functionality and usability in mind.

we took lots of suggestions from our community on the forums, and many many things are still to come, but now we can finally reveal

a version for you to go through, test it out and comment on immediate fixes/suggestions/and so on.

So what has been done?

- Totally new & faster code.
- Totally new layout that is both mobile/desktop compatible.
- Public Profiles
- Rating (based on your activity/quality of your uploaded content).
- Statistics per image/album.
- Comments per image/album.
- Rating per image/album.
- Slideshow inside albums.
- Notices! now you can see once any user does any actions on your images.
- Image Editing (Pimping) is now totally redesigned with huge variety of new functions, you truly have a Photoshop online :).
- Posts! now you can make your own posts , blog style, pictures,text and build you own content!


We expect you to have many thing to ask us, so go ahead, we await your input.

as i said , we still have many ideas in our queue, so we are just getting started.

so what is SANDBOX version?

this means that this version is "almost" alive, this means you can test it as much as you want, but it will

not actually delete/edit/upload your images, it will do all those functions, but once you refresh they will be gone, it is done for the purpose of

us performing final fixes/improvements after your testing, and when all is set, then we go live and replace the old site.

I don't like that I can't right click and open just the image in a new tab without the ads. Weak.

You can just left click on picture and image will open full screen.

Can you show example of what do you mean?

Make thumbnails are square to 100x100 and 150x150, and when you insert pictures of code to your website or forum, they were exactly square.

I`ll add this to "todo" list, i don`t want to promise how much time will it take us to code such plugin, but its not a bad idea for sure.

Do you need a new website pimpandhost register, or you can go with an existing account here?

No, you don`t need to register again, all users will be moved to the new pimpandhost once its live.

So, what coding this was implemented on, ajax? java?
Will you can drag&drop images, something that hasn't been done in the original before?

So i`m wondering do you guys actually use drag & drop daily more then choose files from folder? in my practice i barely use it.

Of course, since this IS the 21st century and everybody's always into the latest trend.

Another new suggestion: the ability to mass-delete albums, instead of manually doing it one-by-one, especially for people that have A LOT of albums and feel like they want a huge clean-up.

Drag & Drop now works , you can just drop any files into the button, we will adjust the "Drag n drop" area to be more clear by tomorrow also
