Shrinkage Problem

My Images are getting shrunken down. When I go to resize them I'm finding that the bytes are staying the same as when I uploaded them so the data size exceeds the limit, when I resize them.

These images were 2 to 4 times larger before.

it was just old files now it's doing it to files I just put up last month. What's the deal?

please upload the "full" image to alternative image hosting and link me.
and then to "same" image on our hosting. so i can see what is the difference.

I don't use another hosting site, simply put most of my gifs are about this size...

But some have been shrunken down to this size...

I'm not sure if they have been compressed for space or what but size in this case does matter.
